Lava stands on a lot of open work. These are the projects and providers it relies on — and exactly how it uses them.

Blocklist sources

Lava ships only the catalog metadata for these lists. When you turn one on, the app fetches it straight from the project's own source URL and evaluates it on your iPhone — Lava never hosts, modifies, or redistributes the list data. The GPL-3.0 lists are off by default.

DNS resolvers

After local filtering, Lava can forward allowed DNS lookups to a resolver you pick. These names identify the available resolvers and their operators.

Sign-in providers

Core protection needs no account. If account features ship, sign-in may be offered through these providers; names are shown for identification only, and no provider logo is used.

Trademarks & affiliation

Third-party names identify services, sign-in providers, or data sources. Lava Security is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or reviewed by these providers or projects.

Lava Security and the Lava shield are trademarks of Lava Security LLC. All other names and marks are the property of their respective owners.
